Singing since an early age,  Satnam began her formal training in North Indian classical music at the Leeds College of Music when she was 16 years old.
She went on to graduate from Birmingham Conservatoire where she completed her BMus (Hons) Raga Sangeet degree. There she studied North Indian classical vocals under the tutelage of renowned classical singer, Sanchita Pal.

Other influences on Satnam's music have been legends such as, Noor Jehan, Surinder Kaur, Ghulam Ali, Jagjit and Chitra, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Reshma, Hans Raj Hans and many others.

Since completing her degree, Satnam has taken part in projects and performances nationwide and internationally.
Recently, she toured nationally with the well-known 'Sonia Sabri Company' on their production 'RED' and continues to perform with them on a regular basis.
Satnam is also the lead vocalist of an innovative fusion ensemble, 'Acoustic Vibe', which integrates Punjabi and Hindi songs with elements of blues, jazz, classical Indian and West African musical styles.

With her continued success in performing, Satnam will begin recording in the near future.
